Brazilian Music

What I like the most in Brazilian music is the variety of them. From MPB to rock, many of Brazilian musicians are trying to express to the world, through the rithymis of Brazil, the way that we see and understand things. We have many examples, like the album “Tribalistas” written by Carlinhos Brown, Marisa Monte and Arnaldo Antunes, that shows how we are inspired, creative and mixed. Another example and very different from “Tribalistas” are the lyrics composed by “Chorão” from Charlie Brown Jr, a rock group that tells us about young challeng and troubles in Brazil. I could enumerate many other examples, but I think these two examples are representative enough to help foreign people to know a little bit more about our special musicable and happy culture. Some curiosities about Tribalistas and Chorão. The Album Tribalistas was not planned it happened suddenly when Marisa was invited to take part in a music that Brown was written to Arnaldo. And the curiosity about Charlie Brown is that he was a skater boy and one day a friend invited him to sing in his place because he was not feelling good so that was the beginning of a success carreer of “Chorão”.
